D.B.M. develops and manufactures innovative medical devices that improve the work of health professionals and patients’ health.
The company was founded in 2006, proving itself to be a powerhouse of ingenuity and vision from day one. It played a key role in the development of the biomedical industrial district in the heart of the Italian Alps, which encompasses some of the industry’s leading major multinationals.
Within the space of just a few years, the company launched an expansion project, becoming one of Italy’s leading manufacturers of pre-filled syringes.
These days, goods are continually dispatched from D.B.M.’s production departments for delivery all around the world.
The production activities are organised over a total area of more than 5,000 square metres. Just a stone’s throw from the historical site, the new facility is equipped with a modern preparation room, and high-quality clean rooms where processes including moist-heat terminal sterilisation are carried out.
Filling takes place in plastic syringes, as well as in glass syringes and bottles, for a total production capacity of more than 20 million pieces per year.
D.B.M.’s in-house Research and Development division plays a fundamental role in manufacturing innovative medical devices that improve and support the work of health professionals and the quality of life of patients.
When it comes to contract manufacturing, too, D.B.M. supports its customers every step of the way, from the initial idea to obtaining registration as a medical device.
It cares for its staff and pays attention to work environments, enabling it to maintain the highest possible levels of quality and safety on a daily basis.
D.B.M. has also adopted the latest ‘Industry 4.0’ standards. The company uses a new software system — MES — to monitor, track, document and control the production process from raw materials to the finished product, while constantly managing and optimising the efficiency of production facilities and utilities.
It cares for and respects the environment. This is reflected in the large proportion of green spaces and its innovative forms of energy saving, including the modern photovoltaic system that provides D.B.M. with autonomy for more than 50 per cent of its electricity needs.
